The Philosophical Take on Life

Last September was a mix of emotions for me. It started with some optimism on doing well in my summer placements, and when those interviews came along, I was scared if I would get through it. I had a great time with my friends during those few days as I got to understand myself better. Later that month, I decided to try my hand at hand lettering. I picked quotes that I could relate the most, and drew it from Pinterest. I drew three quotes, and it surprisingly turned out decent. Later, I decided to write something related to it for people to introspect deeper. It has been in my notes for a long time now. Finally, I feel confident enough to write it here.

Be you, not them!

We often lose ourselves in the pursuit of becoming the person others expect of us. In that process, we shadow different people in an attempt to become great. But you know what? You are who you are, and you are the best at that. We achieve the most when we are allowed to be ourselves. I can relate to this a lot. I sometimes am pressurized by the people around me by just looking at them. Being in the same room as some people makes me feel insecure. I then tell myself, that I have a pace for myself and I can run the best when I am moving in that speed. I chose not to be delusional by looking at others. I decided to empower myself with positive thoughts that I have to be myself, and that will give me a story to tell later. It won’t be easy and will take time. But it isn’t impossible! Be weird, crazy, creative, or however you want to be. Just be yourself!

You never know what you can till you try.

We often think that we won’t be able to achieve something before even starting to attempt it. However, the thought of us not able to do something itself brings negativity into the process. There will be setbacks when you first start anything or even in the middle of it. But, you have to prove that you can stick with it till the end. We all have starting trouble. So, jump into the process with the belief that you can do it.

The song ‘Try Everything’ by Shakira in Zootopia conveys that people shouldn’t be afraid to try. Even if we fail, we can pick ourselves back up and try again. Life would be meaningless if we didn’t try, right?

Believe good things are on the way.

Just keep moving, and good things will come your way. Sometimes, you might feel like you are stuck in a place where everything is going bad. However, there is always a rainbow at the end of the storm. Be optimistic about the future that is yet to come, and work on it as much as you can. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Remember to look at the brighter side of any situation, and this will help you in facing everything in life. There are always bad things that happen to people, but it is life, and one gets through it with lots of experience.
