Stages of Social Networking Sites

Poetry 
It started off with Facebook
alluring me in during high school.

Chatting suddenly became easier
for cliques when Google+ launched.

The need for college groups and updates
lead to an intensive use of WhatsApp.

After every other place was overcrowded,
Instagram was the place to be.

Snapchat meant a lot to some for the streaks
but, it wasn’t my cup of tea.

One pandemic later, Skype has kept me
connected and sane.

Now, after scrolling religiously through LinkedIn
I realize, I have grown old and no fun.

Note: I’m a late 90’s kid and the social networking sites has been evolving since I was in high school. Here is a tribute to the different platforms that I have used.

I write when I experience something beautiful in my small world, feel overwhelmed with my thoughts or have dialogues running in my head like a movie script that I can't help but pen it down. I love writing as it brings me happiness every time I pour my heart into it but I also enjoy dancing like a looney with my favourite people, drawing my favourite anime characters to show my love for them and read fiction to escape to different worlds. I am an introvert and have very little social energy but once I get comfortable with you, I will be a yapper.
