hide & seek

My favourite game as a kid was hide and seek. It was a thrilling experience to run away and hide in the most obvious place to camouflage yourself. As an adult, I have mastered the game and can hide pretty well.

So, where do I hide?

  1. I scribble words on paper and throw them right at your face. Call me cryptic, but I hide behind those very words beneath which lies the rawness and fragility of truth.
  2. I tune myself out from reality and fall abyss my imagination. I re-do scenes multiple times till I give the perfect comeback to real situations. You can’t reach me here, but I can see you here.
  3. To dream in a hiding place is the comfort of a clean and empty washroom. I shed tears that I have held in for so long and strike a pose while leaving as if nothing bothered me.
  4. Turning my frown into a smile to not get probed with questions while dealing with a turmoil of emotions from within. A perfect stage act to get home safely without exposing my depression and anxiety.

I have revealed too much about my secret places. It looks like I am not great at this game, even as an adult. Anyways, I am leaving it here as a record to let you know where to find me if I stay hidden for too long.

Find me, will you?
