Time

In a world that is constantly running
will you pause for a minute?
Look at the sky above and 
take in a breath of fresh air.

Spread your arms wide open,
accept the things happening now
and twirl around, will you?
Worried if someone will stare? 
Show them what it feels like to
stop chasing after the unknown
by taking one look at you.

Your zeal and energy will help them
realize what they are missing out on.

Be the gush of wind that sweeps
everyone off their feet and
can still bring joy to them because
the destination that you
take them on a ride for
is worth it when they realize
running will get them nowhere
unless they stop for some time to
listen to what the heart has got to say.

A different kind of light encapsulates you
when you are surrounded by people
who cheers on you for living in the present
rather than running behind the past or
towards the future.
